How do I check if Meesho or Flipkart paid me correctly?

Download your order report and the payment reports for that month and the next, then check every delivered order against what was paid for it and what was deducted. Orders paid in a later cycle are timing, not a loss. Raise only the delivered orders with no payment, or a deduction you cannot explain.

Why can’t I just check my bank account?

Because the marketplace pays many orders in one transfer, after taking out fees, shipping, returns, taxes and other charges. Your bank shows the total, not which orders it covers. To know whether you were paid correctly, you have to check order by order.

Step 1: Which reports do I need?

  • Meesho: the Order Report (Supplier Panel → Orders → Download Order Report), and the Payment Report (Supplier Panel → Payments → Download Payment Report) for the month you are checking and for the next month.
  • Flipkart: the Orders report (Seller Hub → Reports → Fulfilment Reports → Orders), and the Settled Transactions payment report (Seller Hub → Reports → Payment Reports) for the month you are checking and for the next month.

Next month’s payment report is needed because orders are often paid, returned or adjusted in a later cycle. Wait until it is available before you check a month.

Step 2: List what happened to each order

From the order report, note each order’s ID and what happened to it: delivered, returned by the customer, RTO (never delivered) or cancelled. Use the right ID: the Sub Order ID on Meesho, and the Order Item ID on Flipkart, where one order can hold several items that are each paid separately.

Step 3: Find every payment line for each order

Look the ID up in both payment reports and add up every line for it. One order can have several lines: the payment, a later deduction, a return, a claim. The total of those lines is what that order really paid you.

Step 4: Check the deductions make sense

  • Commission: Flipkart’s Fees and Commission page says products priced below ₹1,000, and the whole Fashion category, carry 0% commission; above that it depends on your category. Meesho’s pricing page says it charges 0% commission.
  • Shipping and other fees: compare them with your own rate card in Seller Hub or the Supplier Panel.
  • Returns: a customer return reverses the sale and usually adds a return shipping charge.
  • Tax: GST TCS of 0.5% and income-tax TDS of 0.1% are held back on the taxable value. They can be claimed back, so they are not a loss.

Step 5: Note the orders that need a closer look

Most differences are returns or orders paid in a later cycle. The ones to look at closely are a delivered order with no payment in either report, and a deduction that is higher than your rate card says it should be.

Step 6: Raise the real gaps

Raise each real gap with Flipkart seller support or Meesho supplier support, with the order ID, the delivery date and the payment reports you checked. Our guide to finding missing payments explains exactly what to send. To see what a finished check looks like, open one of the sample reports, which use demo data.

How often should I check?

Every month, once the next month’s payment report is in. Unpaid orders are easy to miss because nothing tells you about them, and claims have time limits, so a gap found late may be a gap you can no longer raise.

Questions

Can I check Meesho and Flipkart payments in Excel?

Yes. Look up each order’s ID in both payment reports and add up its lines. It works for a few dozen orders; at a few hundred a month it takes hours, and one wrong ID gives a wrong answer.

Why do I need next month’s payment report?

Orders are often paid, returned or adjusted in a later cycle. Without next month’s report, orders that were simply paid later look unpaid.

Are TCS and TDS a loss?

No. TCS is credited to your GST electronic cash ledger and TDS can be claimed against your income tax. They are money held back, not a cost.

Which order ID should I use?

The Sub Order ID on Meesho, and the Order Item ID on Flipkart, because one Flipkart order can hold several items that are each paid separately.

Fee and tax rules from: Flipkart Seller Hub — Fees and Commission; Meesho Supplier — Pricing & Commission; GST Council — Notification 15/2024-Central Tax (TCS); Finance (No. 2) Act 2024 — TDS on e-commerce. Last verified .
