Why is my Meesho payment late or delayed?

Most “late” Meesho payments are not late. The order may not be delivered yet, its cycle from delivery may not have finished, it may have been paid inside a bigger transfer, or it may have been returned, gone RTO or been netted against a deduction. Find the order by its Sub Order No in your Payment Report before you raise it.

What should I check first when a Meesho payment looks late?

Go through these in order. One of the first four usually answers it, and each one takes a few minutes.

  1. Is the order delivered, or only shipped? Meesho’s supplier pages count the payment cycle from order delivery. An order that is still in transit, or was only dispatched, has not started its cycle. Check the order’s status in your Supplier Panel.
  2. Has the cycle from the delivery date passed? Count from the delivery date, not the order date. Meesho’s pricing page says a 7-day cycle from order delivery, but go by your own panel: check the upcoming payments in your Supplier Panel for the date it shows. If that date has not come yet, the payment is not late.
  3. Is it in the Payment Report already? Search for the Sub Order No in the “Order Payments” sheet of the Payments to Date file for this month and for next month. A line with a Payment Date and a Transaction ID means it was paid. One bank transfer covers many orders, so you will not find a bank credit with that one order’s amount.
  4. Was it returned or an RTO? Look at the Live Order Status on its line. An RTO was never delivered, so there is no delivered sale to pay for, and Meesho’s pricing page says it does not charge a return shipping fee for RTOs. A customer return reverses the sale.
  5. Was it netted against a deduction or a return? The line for the order can be zero or negative because other charges were set against it. The guide on a lower Meesho payout explains each one.
  6. Are the bank details in your Supplier Panel current? This is advice only. It takes a minute, and it is worth knowing they are right before you contact Meesho.

The guide on the Meesho payment cycle explains when the clock starts and where Meesho shows your upcoming payments.

How do I find one order in my Meesho reports?

  1. Copy the Sub Order No of the order. You can get it from the Order Report: Supplier Panel → Orders → Download Orders Data.
  2. Download the Payment Report: Supplier Panel → Payments → Download → Payments to Date. Download it for the month of the order and for the next month.
  3. Open the sheet “Order Payments” in each file.
  4. Search the Sub Order No column for your number (Ctrl+F in Excel). Copy the whole number, without spaces. If you find nothing, try again with a part of it.
  5. Read the line: Live Order Status, Payment Date, Transaction ID and Final Settlement Amount, then Shipping Charge (Incl. GST), Return Shipping Charge (Incl. GST), TCS and TDS. An order can have more than one line, so check for more than one.
  6. To see which payment the order was in, look at its Transaction ID. Other lines with the same Transaction ID were paid in the same transfer.

When should I raise it with Meesho?

Raise it only when all of these are true:

  • The order was delivered.
  • The date your Supplier Panel shows for it has passed.
  • It is not in this month’s Payment Report, and it is not in next month’s either.
  • It was not an RTO or a customer return, and no deduction explains the line.

Then raise it with Meesho Supplier Panel support. Give them the Sub Order No, the delivery date and the reports you checked, so they do not have to ask you for them. The guide on missing payments lists what else to send.

If you have many orders to check, the free Meesho payment reconciliation Excel template checks them in one go and marks each order as paid, paid less or not paid yet.

Questions

My Meesho order is delivered but not paid. Is it late?

Not necessarily. Count from the delivery date and check the upcoming payments in your Supplier Panel. Then search the Sub Order No in the Payment Report for this month and next month. If the panel date has passed and the order is in neither report, raise it.

Can one Meesho payment cover many orders?

Yes. Lines in the Payment Report that share a Transaction ID were paid in the same transfer, so the bank credit is not one order’s amount.

Why is the payment for my Meesho order zero?

The order may be an RTO, which Meesho does not charge a return shipping fee for, or the order’s money may have been set against a return or a deduction. Check its Live Order Status and its other lines.

How do I find which payment an order was in?

Search its Sub Order No in the “Order Payments” sheet of the Payments to Date file, then read its Transaction ID and Payment Date. Other lines with the same Transaction ID were paid with it.
